Draymond Green committed a violent act on Patty Mills, grabbing him by the neck in the Golden State Warriors 92-113 win over the Miami Heat.
Draymond Green was called out for a standard personal foul, to the dismay of the Heat game’s television announcers and the fans at Miami’s Kaseya Center, who expected him to have been assessed a flagrant personal foul.
The controversial Warriors power forward finished the game with 4 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals.
Klay Thompson (28 points on 6-of-14 three-pointers), Stephen Curry (17), Andrew Wiggins (17+7) and the emerging Jonathan Kuminga (18+7) were the Warriors’ top performers.
For the Heat, Bam Adebayo (24+9+5), Terry Rozier (15) and Haywood Highsmith (15) stood out.
Draymond Green grabbed Patty Mills by the neck and pulled him down on this play.
The refs reviewed it and called it a common foul on Green.
Should this have been upgraded to a flagrant foul? 🤔pic.twitter.com/w0US4rDEs1

Why is Draymond Green the dirtiest player in the NBA?
In December 2023 Draymond Green was suspended indefinitely by the NBA for his “repeated history of unsportsmanlike actions”.
The Warriors player’s suspension came after he was ejected for the third time this season after punching Jusuf Nurkic (Phoenix Suns) in the face.
After learning of the suspension Steve Kerr stated about Draymond Green, who at the time had 20 career ejections (in NBA history he is second only to Rasheed Wallace), that “I think the suspension makes sense.
To me, this is about more than basketball: it’s about helping Draymond Green.
I think it’s an opportunity for Draymond to step away and make a change in his approach and his life, and that’s not an easy thing to do.
That’s not something you say, ‘OK, we’ll do five games and then he’ll be fine…'”.
Last week Green got into a scuffle with Spanish player Santi Aldama.
