The MTV alumni – who has retained a huge fanbase – took to her TikTok page to detail the horror incident which happened after little Vienna was left upset over a toy.
Liverpool lass Melissa, who has also forged a career as a blogger and DJ, stood in an stylish apartment as she detailed the incident in a video.
She started by saying “OK so storytime on the woman who told my three year old to shut the f*** up in a restaurant.
“First of all, the comments I am receiving on the video are vile.
“Imagine having a child and someone saying that to them – you would be p***ed.
“What happened was one of the women that sell the flashing light toys on the street came in to the restaurant and handed my daughter a flashing toy.
“I said no to buying it and she took the toy off my little girl who obviously started crying.
“She was crying for 20-30 seconds maximum before this woman turned round and said ‘shut the F up.”
Melissa continued: “I didn’t just sit there and take it and do a TikTok as people seem to think that I did.
“I literally snapped and screamed at her ‘do not tell my daughter to F off, I called her names, I screamed at her.
“But obviously my child’s sitting on my knee I’m not going to do anything else.
“I’m not going to attack her I’ve got my vhild sitting onb my knbee.”
The woman later came over and issued an apology.
Melissa added: “The woman was very very drunk and got asked to leave the restaurant so I know that I wasn’t in the wrong.”
Fans were quick to back her corner, with one writing: “Wellll done momma they only have us to speak for them.”
A second put: “I’m glad you stood up 4 ur self and daughter. That’s totally unexpected-able.”
A third then wrote: “You did right! Well done momma! Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday.”
We previously exclusively reported how Melissa shares the tot with shamed football ace Danny Simpson.
She had a brief romance with the ex-Premier League winner, who was found guilty of assaulting a previous girlfriend.
Baby shock
Last year, Melissa admitted she found out she was pregnant while competing on The Challenge.
She got a spot on MTV’s The Challenge in 2018 as a result of her popularity with viewers.
The game show sees two teams compete in various gruelling tasks, and she returned for a second stint in Australia in 2020.
She admitted: “I was filming for 14 weeks and got to the final of the show and I had to cross-country ski up a mountain in Austria. I was struggling to breathe and did not feel as fit as usual…
In the back of my mind I thought I might be pregnant. Something was telling me I was not right. I got home from the show, did a test and it was positive.”
