A forthcoming book has shed light on a surprising aspect of Prince Philip’s alleged views on Meghan Markle.
The late Duke of Edinburgh – who passed away in 2021 at the age of 99 – allegedly had a spiteful nickname for Markle, according to a revealing excerpt from the book titled My Mother And I, written by Ingrid Seward.
Seward, the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine and royal biographer, is known as one of the most prominent and respected writers on the British royal family – having published over a dozen books on the famous family, including The Queen’s Speech, My Husband and I and Prince Philip Revealed.
As reported by The Telegraph, an excerpt of Seward’s new book reveals what nickname the late Prince Philip gave to the former Suits actress, who married into the Royal Family in 2018.

In the book, Seward discloses that Prince Philip referred to Markle as the “Duchess of Windsor”. This nickname is a pointed reference to the controversial American socialite Wallis Simpson, who held the same title.
Wallis, a divorced American, married Edward VIII in 1937 after he abdicated the British throne, sparking a major scandal.
Edward VIII – the uncle of the late Queen Elizabeth II – faced major pushback from the Church of England and the UK Prime Minister at the time Stanley Baldwin, who not only frowned upon the King marrying a divorced woman, but also argued that the public would not accept Simpson as queen because of her marital status.

They went on to be granted the title of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor by Edward’s younger brother, King George VI.
Seward’s book delves into Prince Philip’s perception of Markle and his eerie comparison to Simpson. She notes that Philip found it “uncanny” how much Markle reminded him of Simpson. This comparison went beyond their physical similarities as both were slim, dark-haired, and glamorous American divorcees.
Markle had been married to film producer Trevor Engelson from 2011 until their divorce in 2014, similar to Simpson’s status as a divorced woman before her marriage to Edward VIII.

Other snippets of the book, as reported by The Times, reveal that Queen Elizabeth II’s initial response to Markle was reportedly more favorable. According to Seward’s book, the Queen “approved” of the actress when she was introduced to her by Prince Harry in 2017.
However, she did express a belief that Markle’s wedding dress for her 2018 nuptials was “too white” due to her previous marriage.
At the time, Meghan and Harry’s decision to step back as senior members of the royal family in January 2020 and relocate to Montecito, California, also drew comparisons to Edward VIII’s abdication and departure to France with Simpson when they fell in love.
Royal expert Hugo Vickers observed similarities between Harry and Edward VIII in 2022.
Per the New York Post, Vickers stated that both radiated a sense of sadness after severing their ties with the royal family, according to Vickers. He suggested that their eyes revealed their feelings, and while both sought perceived happiness through their marriages, true happiness was found in fulfilling duty. Vickers also commented on Prince Harry’s demeanor, expressing concern that he appeared “thoroughly miserable.”

Angelina Jolie claims Brad Pitt’s alleged physical abuse started ‘well before’ 2016 incident on plane
By VT
Article saved!
Angelina Jolie has claimed, via lawyers in a new court filing, that Brad Pitt was allegedly abusive toward her before the 2016 plane incident, something which the actor has always denied.
After two years of marriage, the 48-year-old Tomb Raider actress filed for divorce from the 60-year-old Fight Club star in 2016.
The former spouses – who started dating in 2004 – were declared legally single in 2019, and a joint custody arrangement was established in 2021. However, this arrangement was short-lived as the judge overseeing the case was disqualified due to his close business relationships with Pitt’s legal team.
Pitt and Jolie share six children, Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, and Pitt and Jolie’s three biological children: Shiloh, 17, and 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

The exes bought a 1,300-acre French winery estate in Provence in 2008 and went into business with the Perrin family of winemakers five years later to produce Château Miraval’s signature rosé.
According to The Independent, both stars each possessed a 50 percent share in the property, as well as its wine-making enterprise. However, after the divorce, the Maleficent actress sold her stake in the property to a Russian oligarch in 2021.
This prompted a lawsuit from the Bullet Train star in which he accused her of “systematic obstruction” of his management, and of selling her part of a stake without allowing him the chance to purchase it first.
Now in new court documents, filed to Los Angeles County Superior Court, the actress’s legal team filed a motion aiming to release communications they say would prove Pitt would not let his ex-wife sell her share of their winery to him unless she agreed to a “more onerous” and “expansive” NDA, per Page Six.

The pair have been embroiled in divorce proceedings concerning their business, child custody, and disagreements over their various properties.
Back in 2022, the Eternals actress filed a cross-complaint that contained allegations that Pitt physically abused one of their children onboard a private jet in 2016.
The filings, which were obtained by The New York Times, contended that Pitt “choked one of the children and struck another in the face” and “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her”.
It also states that, at one point, “he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children”. The actor vehemently denied the claims at the time and was never charged following an investigation into allegations of abuse.
However, Jolie’s lawyers now allege in a new filing that the Troy actor had a history of physical abuse towards his ex-wife before the 2016 incident, stating: “While Pitt’s history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles, this flight marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well. Jolie then immediately left him.”

The latest filing also disclosed that Jolie “never pressed charges as she believed the best course was for Pitt to accept responsibility and help the family recover from the post-traumatic stress he caused,” and alleges that the Mr. & Mrs. Smith actor tried to silence her with the NDA.
However, a June 2023 filing from Pitt’s legal team argues that Jolie was the one who proposed an “even broader non-disparagement clause” and that Pitt’s team offered a “narrower” one intended to “protect” their wine business.
“The clause also made clear that there would be no limitation on Jolie’s ability to speak in connection with Pitt and Jolie’s divorce or custody proceedings. It specifically provided: This commitment shall however not limit the ability, for any Party, to make any claims, filings or testimony in any legal proceedings,” it states, per PEOPLE.

The actress has now taken to social media, much to the delight of her fans, to reveal that she and Pattinson have welcomed their bundle of joy into the world.

Fans and other celebs flocked to the comments to offer their congratulations, with Paris Hilton saying: “Congratulations love! So happy for you both!”

‘Reacher’ star Alan Ritchson opens up about his suicide attempt after he was sexually assaulted
By Nasima Khatun

Alan Ritchson has recently opened up about attempting to take his own life after a traumatic experience changed everything for him.
For those of you who may not know, Ritchson is an actor who is best known for starring in the Amazon Prime series Reacher after initially appearing as a contestant on the third season of the reality television show American Idol back in 2004.
Thanks to his incredible talent as well as his charming personality, he’s managed to garner a loyal fanbase, accumulating over 2.8 million followers on Instagram alone.
But for someone who has always showcased a happy and positive stance in life, fans were shocked to find out that the star had previously tried to take his own life after being sexually assaulted when he was a model.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he opened up about his experience in the industry.
“There are very few redeeming qualities to working in that industry. Let’s be honest, it’s like legalized sex trafficking,” he said. “The industry is not regulated, and it’s a widely known secret that if you’re hired on a job, you’re basically being passed off to a photographer to be trafficked.”
“The number of times and situations where I was put in horrific environments where sexual abuse was the goal and the paycheck that you were desperate for in order to survive was the carrot, I can’t count on two hands,” he stated. “It was quite often.”
When asked if he had experienced any inappropriate environments himself, he recalled a traumatic event in which he was abused.
“I was sent into a hotel room to do nudes with the promise that if I did the shoot, he [the ‘very famous photographer’] would offer me a very lucrative campaign for a magazine and a clothing line. I was sexually assaulted by this guy,” he told the outlet.

Naturally, the actor was upset, stating that he “stormed” out of the place and straight to his agent.
“I stormed in [to the office] and said: ‘F*** you for sending me there. You knew what was going to happen, and you did it anyway,'” he recalled.
While his agent at the time was trying to calm him down by saying that it was “okay” and he knew the guy could be a “little aggressive”, he decided that enough was enough.
After quitting his job, he quit the entire modelling industry.
“I quit the industry and it was the last photo shoot I’ve ever had,” he said. “Those pictures were never seen or published. That was it.
“I swore it off and thank God acting found me at the exact same time so I was able to make a switch to a new career, but it left some scars,” he added.

However, one of the darkest days in his life occurred one night in 2019 when the star attempted to take his own life using a chord in his attic.
“I hung myself,” he told the interviewer. “It all happened so fast, and I was dangling there.”
He also added that a vision of his three children in their mid-30s made him change his mind on the whole ordeal and he managed to pull himself up just before he blacked out.
“They calmly asked me not to do it, and told me that they wanted me to be here, alive and part of their lives,” he stated.
After some further health battles, Ritchson finally got to a place of stability and since then has managed to build his portfolio as an actor and still continues to live his life to the fullest, despite having to endure trauma at the hands of abusers in the industry.
He truly is an inspiration!

Close sources respond after Daniel Tosh says Kylie Jenner is expecting child with Timothée Chalamet
By Nasima Khatun
Article saved!
Close sources have now responded to the rumors about Kylie Jenner allegedly expecting a child with her current boyfriend Timothée Chalamet.
The drama originally kicked off when comedian Daniel Tosh made some pretty bold claims during Tuesday’s episode of his “Tosh Show” podcast.
In the episode, he stated that he went to a grocery store in Malibu where he apparently saw Jenner filming scenes for her family’s Hulu series, The Kardashians.
“Here’s something crazy,” he started. “I went to the grocery store in Malibu, and I was talking to an employee there. I try to avoid it but I was talking to this guy, and I said, ‘Why were you guys closed yesterday?’ He goes, ‘Well, I’m not supposed to discuss it, but Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the show, was filming their season finale here yesterday,'” Tosh claimed.

He continued, stating that the finale will allegedly go on to reveal that the beauty mogul is pregnant with Chalamet’s child.
“Spoiler alert, this is for the upcoming season of the show. This is the big season finale. This random grocery store person is telling me that they rented out the entire store, shut it down and then, they acted like they were grocery shopping,” Tosh stated.
“This was the scene that apparently happened: Kylie reveals that she’s pregnant again with Timothée’s kid. What a bombshell,” he added.

These claims are completely unfounded and a source close with production told Us Weekly that Kardashian-Jenners didn’t film their season finale – or any scenes for that matter – this season at the grocery store.
At the end of his recollection, Tosh did admit that he was just repeating the words of the unnamed employee, saying: “This might not be true. I am not verifying anything. This is what an employee at a grocery store in Malibu told me.”

Jenner is currently a mom to two children, both of whom she had with her ex-boyfriend Travis Scott.
The Kylie Cosmetics owner gave birth to her daughter Stormi back in 2018 and most recently in 2022, to her son Aire Jacques Webster.
A year later, the 26-year-old started seeing Chalamet, 28, with a source revealing that she’s never been so happy.
“They’ve never seen her so happy and they love the qualities Timothée brings out in her,” the insider told Us Weekly in a separate report back in September 2023. “She can totally be herself, and she’s much more laid back with him than she’s been in past relationships.”
They added that her family has been able to see a “whole other side of her,” thanks to her new man.

Raven-Symoné addresses comment she made in 2014 when she said ‘I’m not African American’

Raven-Symoné has recently addressed the comment that made her go viral a decade ago.
Now, if you’re a fan of pop culture, then you probably remember that one moment in 2014 when Raven-Symoné told Oprah Winfrey that she does not identify as an “African-American” and she purely defines herself as “American.”

At the time Winfrey had warned the star, who is best known for her role in Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven in the early 2000s, that her comment would set social media alight and that’s exactly what it did.
Even 10 years down the line, people are still not over it so in a new episode of Tea Time with Raven & Miranda, which she co-hosts with her wife Miranda Pearman-Maday, she cleared up some rumors.

“I wanna talk about something that has haunted me since 2014,” she started in Tuesday’s episode posted to YouTube. “When that aired, I felt like the entire internet exploded and threw my name in the garbage. There was so much backlash from my community and others that misunderstood, slash didn’t hear the exact words that I said.”
She continued: “And the exact words that I said is that ‘I’m an American, not an African American.’ A lot of people on the internet thought I said that I wasn’t Black, and I never said that.
“There’s a difference between being Black and African,” she added.
Her wife then asked her to clarify what that difference meant to her personally.
“When I say that African American does not align with me, that label, it doesn’t mean that I’m negating my Blackness or I’m not Black,” she explained. “It means I am from this country, I was born here, my mom, my dad, my great-great-great-great-great – and that’s what I’m saying. The pure logistics of it.”
Have a look at the full segment below:
Fans seemed to accept Raven-Symoné’s explanation, with many taking to the comments to praise the star for speaking out.
“I understood what she meant the FIRST time she said it,” wrote one user. “We ARE American. I’ve noticed that so many other black individuals (especially conservatives ones or those closer to the conservative side) still get SO much backlash for saying this. Love her, love her.”
Another also added: “As someone who also got called African-American & had to check the African-American box for most of their life I understand. It just doesn’t make sense! I’m glad Raven was able to speak upon this & felt comfortable talking about it. Because everyone completely did her dirty for no reason whatsoever! And it also makes me sad that that was supposed to be her coming out moment & that got taken away from her.”
A third also resonated with the idea, writing: “I completely understand what you were saying, Raven. I’m always identified as a Black American. African American suggest I was born on the continent of Africa, had citizenship then moved to America and now have American citizenship. No. I’m an American. Born and Raised in America. If we want to break it down more into logistics, then yea, I’m a Black American because of the color of my skin.”
Others also chimed in with this point: “Let’s also remember in that interview? Raven literally ran down her ancestors origin from Africa. She also stated ‘I’m black’ in that interview as well. People just heard the ‘Not African American’ part and ran with it. I understood what she was saying the minute she said it. & I was 18 at the time!”
Raven-Symoné said that she never claimed she wasn’t ‘Black’ even when she said she doesn’t identify as ‘African-American.’ Credit: Unique Nicole/Getty
Raven-Symoné has previously addressed how Winfrey had turned the initial interview, which was supposed to be a ‘coming out’ video, into one of labels – which is something she tries to avoid.
“I said, ‘Don’t label me’ and it turned into that instead of my coming out,” she said.

Rebel Wilson reveals why she thinks Adele hates her
By Nasima Khatun

Rebel Wilson has revealed the reason she believes Adele hates her.
In her newest memoir titled Rebel Rising, which delves into the growth of the 44-year-old actor’s career, Wilson opened up about why she potentially thinks there’s a bit of beef between her and the British musician.
Wilson is beloved for her comedic performances in movies such as Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids. Her ability to deliver witty lines and physical humor has long appealed to audiences around the world.

And many would agree that the Aussie actress is as radiant offscreen as she is on.
Wilson is often hailed as down-to-earth and relatable, which resonates with audiences. She has been open about her journey in Hollywood, including her struggles with weight and body image, which many people find inspiring.
However, it appears that not everybody is fond of her.

As per a report by the Independent, Wilson wrote in her memoir: “Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say.”
She continued: “This is why, I think, Adele hates me. There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another.”
It was also reported that Wilson wondered in her book whether the 16-time Grammy winner just “didn’t like being compared to ‘Fat Amy.'”
Both Adele and Wilson underwent massive weight-loss transformations back in 2020, unveiling their health regimes in the years coming. Adele reportedly shed 100 pounds while Wilson dropped nearly 80 pounds in about the same time frame which is likely why the star had all the comparison speculation around the subject.

Elsewhere in the memoir, she also revealed that there was an actor that she worked with that made her double down on her “no a**holes policy.”
But upon finding out about the revelation, the actor – who was not named in the book – allegedly started taking legal action against the star.
Taking to her Instagram Reels on March 15, Wilson gave her fans an insight into the issue: “When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, yeah, ‘I have a no a**hole policy, [it] means like, yeah, I don’t work with a**holes.’ I was like, ‘oh yeah. I mean, that sounds sensible or logical.'”
“But then it really sunk in [what they, the older people in the industry, meant] because I worked with a massive a**hole and yeah, now I definitely have a no a**holes policy,” she continued.
“That guy was a massive a**hole,” she added, telling fans to refer to chapter 23 if they wanted more details.

While at the time she did not name who she was referring to, an alleged incident between her and the anonymous star’s lawyers over the weekend provoked her to directly name the culprit and it was none other than comedy legend, Sacha Baron Cohen.
“I wrote about an a**hole in my book. Now, said a**hole is trying to threaten me,” Wilson said in a now-deleted Instagram Story as per a report by Us Weekly. “He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He is trying to stop press coming out about my book. But the book WILL come out, and you will all know the truth.”
In a separate follow-up Story, she added: “I will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The ‘a**hole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen.”

Wilson and Baron Cohen worked together on the 2016 comedy Grimsby where the Pitch Perfect alum played the girlfriend of Baron Cohen’s character Nobby.
But it was Baron Cohen’s actions throughout the filming of the movie that really left Wilson questioning who he was.
“Sacha is so outrageous,” Wilson said at the time. “Every single day he’s like, ‘Rebel, can you just go naked in this scene?’ And I’m like, ‘No!’ Sacha and I have the same agent in America and I’m like, ‘Sacha, I’m going to call our agent Sharon and tell her how much you are harassing me.'”
“Every day he’s like, ‘Just go naked, it will be funny.” she continued. “Remember in Borat when I did that naked scene? It was hilarious.’ On the last day I thought I’d obviously won the argument, and he got a body double to do the naked scene.”
Sacha Baron Cohen was named as the “a**hole” in Wilson’s memoir. Credit: Rick Rycroft-Pool/Getty
However, that allegedly did not stop the actor from trying to crank things up in notch in the name of being “funny.”
“Then in the last scene… he was like, ‘Rebel can you just stick your finger up my butt?’ And I went, ‘What do you mean Sacha? That’s not in the script,'” she added. “And he’s like, ‘Look, I’ll just pull down my pants, you just stick your finger up my butt, it’ll be a really funny bit.'”
Yikes.
Rebel Rising is now available o purchase at major book retailers.
