Fern proved to be a hit with viewers of the ITV reboot and made it all the way to the final.
The mother-of-three hadn’t been seen on TV in a number of years previous to her stint in the TV abode.
But now it appears Fern will be a regular fixture on screens once again.
Bella Magazine report she is planning her triumphed comeback for the ‘ultimate revenge on Phillip Schofield’.
An insider told the mag: “Fern is planning her big TV comeback. She’s desperate to do her own chat show and is already in talks with TV networks.
“It’s no secret she was treated badly before, and it put her off doing TV again, but now she feels ready to be back on screens.”
Fern previously hosted This Morning alongside Schofe for 10 years until she was replaced by Holly Willoughby in 2009.
The source added: “She’s warm, caring and fun – all the things TV producers look for in a host.
“Now Phillip isn’t in the picture any more, she can get her ultimate revenge and be a success on TV once again!”
Fern had famously fallen out with Phillip, 62, by the time she was leaving the daytime programme.
“It’s fair to say that towards the end we were not getting on. Things were tricky.”
Long-serving host Phillip ended his partnership with ITV last year after admitting to an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger male colleague.
