Indiana Fever WNBA star Caitlin Clark
WNBA (DR)

Caitlin Clark’s professional debut is complicated, between calamitous marksmanship and controversies that she no longer knows what to make of it. But the player has lost none of her talent and she has just delivered an all-time performance.

After having broken everything at the university level, Caitlin Clark must now get used to defeat. Drafted by Indiana with the first pick, the playmaker has in fact won only one of her first eight games in the WNBA.

Not only that, but she also experiences some difficulties on the offensive level with only 38% shooting success, including 31% from distance, being manhandled by opposing defenses.

Highly anticipated after a breathtaking NCAA run, Clark therefore disappoints quite a few among observers.

While some claim she is being targeted because of the hype surrounding her, others overwhelm her popularity with speech that has nothing to do with the orange ball .

No matter for the main concerned, however, she who released a double record performance last night against the Los Angeles Sparks:

Caitlin Clark makes history against the Sparks

Caitlin Clark last night: 30 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, three steals and three blocks. She is only the fourth player in WNBA history (and the first rookie) to compile such numbers in a single game.

Caitlin Clark is the fastest player in WNBA history to have over 100 points and 50 assists.

Unfortunately for the nugget, it was not enough to prevent the defeat of her team (88-82) even though she scored 12 points in the last quarter, thus keeping her team afloat.

Not too clumsy with a 7/16 shooting, CC in any case clearly responded to the criticism by releasing two all-time performances for a rookie.

Knowing her, this is only the beginning of her domination in the WNBA.

She’s going French now. Let’s go !

Regardless of the controversies surrounding her, Caitlin Clark is focusing on the courts and it paid off last night. All that remains is to finally win a few matches… Like Victor Wembanyama in the NBA this season, the player will have to get used to accumulating defeats at first.
